I want to personally thank you for visiting the Green Valley Adventures website!
As you probably now know, we have our permits in hand to construct my vision for southern New England's premiere aerial adventure course. That (unfortunately!) just means that the hard work can begin of actually physically building out our designs for this attraction. As work progresses on that front, you can be sure that the evidence of that progress will be right here on these pages!
Folks, there is no other way to say this, so I'll just come right out and do it - to do this right, this is going to take time. The size and scope of this thing is unlike anything our area has ever seen, and quite frankly, I want and need to get it right. That first day when the first visitor walks off that first platform, everything just needs to flow or I'm not doing this at all - that's just the kind of person I am.
In the meantime, I also want to use this forum and this medium to keep in communication with you about topics in this industry. There is a lot that can be said about what it is that we're installing and how it's different from other installations or some of the home based kits you can find out there. A funny thing I've learned about this business is that there is a small but quite established network of vendors that tries very hard to keep the trade secrets of how these events work in the "family". I can only speculate that these folks have missed the past few decade's lessons about this medium's (namely, the internet's) ability to make irrelevant and bring to light just this sort of privileged or trade secret information. In contrast, I just so happen to wholeheartedly believe that when you as a consumer understand the whats, whys and hows of what we are building that you will be better able to make informed choices. I have nearly 15 years as a licensed professional engineer working in the bridge industry, so I believe I have a unique perspective on this that you will find refreshing.
I'm beyond thrilled about this blog, but even more so about delivering on this attraction in our area of the country. This should be quite a ride!
Until next time, stay safe!
